We spent the day in the city with MTV’s hilarious new star, Liz Lee. Liz’s new show, My Life As Liz, is a comical look into her highschool life. Liz talked about what it was like to have a camera crew with her at school, and then watching it on TV. After the interview we hung out with Liz in time square. We walked around, went shopping, and even took some pictures with some fans.
My Life As Liz plays on Monday nights, at 10:30PM, on MTV.
“One question; Four guys; 100 things to do before you die.”
Kim recently hung out with Ben and Duncan from MTV’s exciting new show, The Buried Life, in New York. The Buried Life follows a group of friends and their own film crew who set off in a purple bus, named Penelope, with a list of things that they’ve dreamed of doing. On their exciting journey, the guys not only try to fulfill their own dreams. They also try to fulfill the dreams of others. The guys told us that the show was inspired by a poem they had read in English class, that was over 150 years old.
Do you feel inspired by the guys’ show? You can also help a good cause, and all you have to do is login to your Facebook. Yes! Helping is that easy! Go to the show’s Facebook page, and become a fan of the show. Once they reach 75,000 fans MTV will fund a soccer camp in Uganda for Duncan’s charity. It’s an awesome cause, and we look forward to helping Duncan with his charity.
The Buried Life premieres tonight, on MTV at 10:00PM. Let us know what you think of MTV’s exciting new show!

We caught up with the lovely Colbie Caillat before her sold out show at the Roseland Ballroom, in New York, last week. The 24 old California native has had quite a successful summer. Her latest album “Breakthrough,” debuted at the top of the charts with over 100,000 albums sold in the first week. (“Breakthrough” also topped the Billboard Top Digital Albums chart and the Top Rock Albums chart.)
We also found out that Colbie has a few tattoos. She showed us her latest tattoo, the “breakthrough” flower. The flower, which she says holds a lot of personal meaning, was done when she was recently in Paris. She says that her personal breakthrough, getting over her fear of performing in front of crowds, is what inspired the name of her album.
Colbie has a fun sense of style, so we had to take a minute to talk about fashion. When we asked about her style, she said that comfort plays a big part in what she wears because she has to be comfortable while up on stage. Colbie even said that she loved my style! The look is courtesy of Urban Outfitters, which also happens to be one of her favorite stores as well.
We also talked about touring, her love of New York, John Mayer, and what it’s like to perform where she grew up. Watch the interview above for the full interview.
“Breakthrough” is in stores now! Click HERE to buy the album.
Good things definitely come in fives! Boy bands are starting to make their much needed return to the music scene, and girl groups are not too far behind. I had the pleasure of spending a fun filled day in the city with pop music’s next big girl group, The Beach Girl5. The sexy group, which is made up by Mandy Jiroux, Brooke Adams, Dominique Domingo, Noreen Juliano and Laura New, was hand picked by Tommy Hilfiger to perform at his private party during New York’s “Fashion’s Night Out” over the summer. (After seeing their sexy performance, we can see why!)
I was introduced to the girls by my buddy, V Factory member, Wesley Quinn over the summer. While spending time with them before our interview, in hair and makeup, I found it hard not to fall in love with their funny and alluring personalities. We made jokes and laughed for a good chunk of the day, which made us feel like we had been friends for years. This is undoubtedly one of the characteristics that makes the group so lovable.
We started off talking about the basics. They told us that we can expect on their highly anticipated debut album sometime next year and that it will be mostly pop. We also talked about meeting some of their idols, who they’d love to tour with, what inspires their style, and even the one and only Zac Efron. (Yes, even The Beach Girl5 aren’t immune to the allure of Zac Efron.) The girls even taught me the choreography to their song, ‘Good Vibrations.’ The results were….well, you’ll just have to watch the interview to see if their sexy choreography rubbed off on me.
Mandy is also the entrepenuer of the group. Not only is she one of YouTube’s most subscribed people (who hasn’t seen The Miley And Mandy Show?), but she’s also a designer. The “Beach Girl” is collaborating with her superstar best friend, Miley Cyrus, on a new bracelet line for Jac Vanek’s already popular line of accessories. The bracelets can be purchased HERE.
Here’s to a future full of chart topping singles, sexy music videos, music awards and sold out concerts! I know you can do it!
Their EP is now available on iTunes. For more info on The Beach Girl5, check out their official Myspace page and website.
Dean-Kelly caught up with the Carter Twins last week for their show in NYC. The guys were very nice, totally laidback, and so much fun! Their performance was awesome – they looked so comfortable on stage, had so much energy, and the crowd was really into it! They performed new songs from their upcoming album, and also their first single ‘Heart Like Memphis,’ which the crowd sang along every word to.
Check out the interview above, and make sure to keep an eye out for new music from the extremely talented Carter Twins!
