We spent the day in the city with MTV’s hilarious new star, Liz Lee. Liz’s new show, My Life As Liz, is a comical look into her highschool life. Liz talked about what it was like to have a camera crew with her at school, and then watching it on TV. After the interview we hung out with Liz in time square. We walked around, went shopping, and even took some pictures with some fans.

My Life As Liz plays on Monday nights, at 10:30PM, on MTV.

“One question; Four guys; 100 things to do before you die.”

Kim recently hung out with Ben and Duncan from MTV’s exciting new show, The Buried Life, in New York. The Buried Life follows a group of friends and their own film crew who set off in a purple bus, named Penelope, with a list of things that they’ve dreamed of doing. On their exciting journey, the guys not only try to fulfill their own dreams. They also try to fulfill the dreams of others. The guys told us that the show was inspired by a poem they had read in English class, that was over 150 years old.

Do you feel inspired by the guys’ show? You can also help a good cause, and all you have to do is login to your Facebook. Yes! Helping is that easy! Go to the show’s Facebook page, and become a fan of the show. Once they reach 75,000 fans MTV will fund a soccer camp in Uganda for Duncan’s charity. It’s an awesome cause, and we look forward to helping Duncan with his charity.

The Buried Life premieres tonight, on MTV at 10:00PM. Let us know what you think of MTV’s exciting new show!

We caught up with the lovely Colbie Caillat before her sold out show at the Roseland Ballroom, in New York, last week. The 24 old California native has had quite a successful summer. Her latest album “Breakthrough,” debuted at the top of the charts with over 100,000 albums sold in the first week. (“Breakthrough” also topped the Billboard Top Digital Albums chart and the Top Rock Albums chart.)

We also found out that Colbie has a few tattoos. She showed us her latest tattoo, the “breakthrough” flower. The flower, which she says holds a lot of personal meaning, was done when she was recently in Paris. She says that her personal breakthrough, getting over her fear of performing in front of crowds, is what inspired the name of her album.

Colbie has a fun sense of style, so we had to take a minute to talk about fashion. When we asked about her style, she said that comfort plays a big part in what she wears because she has to be comfortable while up on stage. Colbie even said that she loved my style! The look is courtesy of Urban Outfitters, which also happens to be one of her favorite stores as well.

We also talked about touring, her love of New York, John Mayer, and what it’s like to perform where she grew up. Watch the interview above for the full interview.

“Breakthrough” is in stores now! Click HERE to buy the album.

Good things definitely come in fives! Boy bands are starting to make their much needed return to the music scene, and girl groups are not too far behind. I had the pleasure of spending a fun filled day in the city with pop music’s next big girl group, The Beach Girl5. The sexy group, which is made up by Mandy Jiroux, Brooke Adams, Dominique Domingo, Noreen Juliano and Laura New, was hand picked by Tommy Hilfiger to perform at his private party during New York’s “Fashion’s Night Out” over the summer. (After seeing their sexy performance, we can see why!)

I was introduced to the girls by my buddy, V Factory member, Wesley Quinn over the summer. While spending time with them before our interview, in hair and makeup, I found it hard not to fall in love with their funny and alluring personalities. We made jokes and laughed for a good chunk of the day, which made us feel like we had been friends for years. This is undoubtedly one of the characteristics that makes the group so lovable.

We started off talking about the basics. They told us that we can expect on their highly anticipated debut album sometime next year and that it will be mostly pop. We also talked about meeting some of their idols, who they’d love to tour with, what inspires their style, and even the one and only Zac Efron. (Yes, even The Beach Girl5 aren’t immune to the allure of Zac Efron.) The girls even taught me the choreography to their song, ‘Good Vibrations.’ The results were….well, you’ll just have to watch the interview to see if their sexy choreography rubbed off on me.

Mandy is also the entrepenuer of the group. Not only is she one of YouTube’s most subscribed people (who hasn’t seen The Miley And Mandy Show?), but she’s also a designer. The “Beach Girl” is collaborating with her superstar best friend, Miley Cyrus, on a new bracelet line for Jac Vanek’s already popular line of accessories. The bracelets can be purchased HERE.

Here’s to a future full of chart topping singles, sexy music videos, music awards and sold out concerts! I know you can do it!

Their EP is now available on iTunes. For more info on The Beach Girl5, check out their official Myspace page and website.

Dean-Kelly caught up with the Carter Twins last week for their show in NYC. The guys were very nice, totally laidback, and so much fun! Their performance was awesome – they looked so comfortable on stage, had so much energy, and the crowd was really into it! They performed new songs from their upcoming album, and also their first single ‘Heart Like Memphis,’ which the crowd sang along every word to.

Check out the interview above, and make sure to keep an eye out for new music from the extremely talented Carter Twins!

Germany’s hottest export is back and better than ever! Tokio Hotel is ready to rock America with their latest album, “Humanoid.” At first glance, it’s the band’s unique look, that draws your attention, but it’s their addicting sound that keeps it. You probably remember these four rockers winning the award for “Best New Artist” at the MTV VMA’s last year. That seemed to have been just the beginning, on the long road of success for Tokio Hotel.

The album’s first single is ‘Automatic.’ The track is an energy driven pop-rock song, with a slight techno feel to it. After hearing it for the first time, we had the song on repeat! With a combination of catchy lyrics and a beat you can’t help but rock out to, this song could be another hot for the band. “Automatic. Automatic. You’re automatic, and your hearts like an engine. I die with every beat. You’re automatic, and your voice is electric. Why do I still believe?”

‘Humanoid’ is the title track of the album. It has an older rock vibe to it. The song, which has an edgy sound, is grunge, but not so grunge that it scares you off. Instead, it has you singing along and bobbing your head to the rhythm, pretending that you’re in Tokio Hotel concert.

‘Forever Now’ is another favorite track of ours. The mid-tempo love song has an almost eerie sound to it. Yes, this is a love song, but it’s not another mushy love song. What’s great about this song is that even though it seems to be at a smaller pace, it doesn’t put you to sleep. Tokio Hotel seems to make even the traditional love songs into a track you can head bang to at one of their concerts.

Another song that we loved, is the album’s first track, ‘Noise.’ Introduced by a flute, this is another Tokio Hotel song that you can rock out to.

We are officially Tokio Hotel fans! What we love about this group is their unique look, paired up with their unique sound. If you seem them or hear them, you know it’s Tokio Hotel. With so many artists copying one another and trying to keep up with the latest trends, it’s nice to see a group that stands out.

Tokio Hotel’s new album is in stores now!

If someone tells you that you’re wasting your time by posting videos on YouTube, tell them that they are oh so wrong. Imagine doing a cover of one your favorite artist’s songs, and then having them sign you to their label because they loved your rendition so much. 20 year old, Esmee Denters did just that.

Originially from The Netherlands, Esmee started off as a girl who posted videos of her singing, on YouTube, to see what people, other than her friends, thought of her voice. The result? Being one of the most subsribed to people YouTube and landing a record deal with a new record label.

Justin Timberlake flew Esmee out to one of his US shows, during his 2007 tour after seeing her rendition of his single, ‘What Goes Around.’ After having her sing on the spot, he loved her and chose to make her the first artist singed to his new label, under Universal, Tenman Records. After working with her on her debut album, for about a year, the urban pop masterpiece, “Outta Here”, was complete.

The album’s lead single, ‘Outta Here,’ sets the tone for the rest of this urban, pop album. The track, which is one of the many produced by Justin Timberlake, is a fusion of pop-rock and urban beats. Esmee sings of a relationship gone wrong and seeing that the person you were with, isn’t that same person anymore. Esmee has said that she writes about what she knows about and what she thinks people our age can relate to. We agree! The song is a mid-tempo, with some hot synthesized beats and lyrics, provided by the singer, herself.

‘Love Dealer’ is the dance track for the clubs. The song has a retro feel to it, which seems to be Justin’s speciality. What’s great about this song is that it shows that Esmee can also do the uptempo tracks that we all love to dance and have a good time to.

One of my favorite tracks on the album is the mid-tempo track, ‘Gravity,’ which has both beautiful lyrics and vocals from Denters. “This ain’t the way that it supposed to be when you’re in love. You got me stuck here on the ground. Everything feels heavy, and I can’t carry the weight for the both of us. Your gravity’s holding me down.”

‘Bigger Than The World’ is a beautiful track, produced by Timberlake. “I’m staring at the mirror at these clothes, and it’s funny, they mean about as much as yesterday. Something is calling me home, me home. I can hear your voice and I’m not afraid. Now I know I’m just a girl. Trying to make my way through this life. But now I feel bigger then the world. With your hand in mine.”

We love the album! The album is currently available in Europe. You can get a copy of “Outta Here,” in the US, on January 11, 2010.
