Alexander Gould stars as Shane Botwin in Showtime’s hit tv show, Weeds. We talked to the teen star about what it’s like to play one of our favorite characters on the show, and what the new season of Weeds will be like. We had an awesome time talking to him, and look forward to the new season of the show. The new season of Weeds premieres on Showtime in August.
Jac Vanek is one the most interesting and successful entrepeneurs of our generation. Her bracelet line, which now also sells clothing, is one of the most successful and affordable items in the fashion and music business. If you’ve been to any pop or alternative concert or any mall, then you’ve probably seen some of Jac’s bracelets.
We were greeted with big hugs and smiles in the backstage area of The Warped Tour when our friends, Jac Vanek and Nicole Buckley arrived at the venue. The ladies, who always look effortlessly beautiful, brightened up the backstage area with their smiles. Jac was wearing a a dark, loose top, blue shorts, Ray Ban sunglasses, and a feather earing. Nicole was wearing a beautiful, long summer dress, sunglasses, and had her hair in a summery, loose French braid.
We spent most of the time talking about random things, like you would with any of your good friends that you wanted to catch up with. We also talked about how much we loved our iPhones and our awesome friend, and Dean-Kelly teammate, Kim.
We sat on a very comfortable table for our interview. This was one of the best places in the backstage area because you could feel the awesome air conditioning. We talked with the ladies about how Jac began her successful clothing line, how she loves to meet her fans, her celebrity collaborations, and what it’s like to be on a successful tour. This was one of our favorite interviews of the day! We love hanging out with these beautiful ladies.
Taylor Momsen walked into the backstage area of The Warped Tour, fashionably late, with her new band, The Pretty Reckles, in an awesome pair of Chanel sunglasses. Taylor made her way through the crowded hallway while tossling her beachy blonde hair, in a beige colored outfit with dark stockings that was a very reminiscent of something that Courtney Love might have worn years ago. Taylor stopped half way down the hallway to switch her comfortable looking dark converse sneakers with some clear sky-high shoes.
We were told before our interview that Taylor wanted to talk about only one thing during her interviews that day….her music. We, along with most of the other people in the press area, crossed off our Gossip Girl questions from our interview lists. We were also told that if we asked any questions that were not about her music, she would stop doing press for the day. We talked about it with some of the other people we were with, and thought that it would also be a good idea not to refer to Taylor as “Little J” or “Cindy Loo Hoo” during our interviews. (You know that you want to call her “Little J” or “Cindy Loo Hoo too!)
Taylor and her band were very mellow during our interview. We didn’t ask any ice-breaker questions after we heard the people before us ask her if she’d rather meet her celebrity crush of her music idol. Taylor’s answer was something like, “My music idol is dead, and I don’t have a celebrity crush.” Olyvia and I thought that it would probably be a good idea to listen to The Warped Tour’s press people and stick to the music questions. Taylor’s band talked to us about their new album, which will be in stores in August, and that they like being on tour. They also told us that they’re alread working on their second album. Taylor’s band also signed our awesome t shirts.
We love working with charities and organizations, and we were very excited to work with To Write Love On Her Arms at The Warped Tour. TWLOHA is a great non-profit organization that works with people for help with suicide prevention. They have worked with various celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Joaquin Phoenix, Liv Tyler, and other artists.
We talked to Jason Blades, who is on tour with TWLOHA on The Warped Tour. He talked to us about how the organization started, what they do, their clothing line, and how people can help. We had such a great time talking with him, and we look forward to working with TWLOHA!
