I don’t know, I’ve heard a lot about Nick’s solo project, but this is the first I’ve heard of them leaving Hollywood Records and taking a break.
I’m always cautious to believe things when ambiguous “sources” are mentioned.

why would they decide to quit when theyre finally at the top and where they worked the past 5 years to get to? if they took a five year break they would basically have to start over again then. i could see them taking a 1-2 year break but 5 years is crazy. im not believing any of it til i hear it from them.

I think maybe we’ll see some solo material out of Nick, and it wouldn’t surprise me that eventually they change labels - most bands do. The rest, I don’t buy it. They’ve worked too hard to just lay it all down and take 5 years off.

This is very strange. I mean, I do see Nick doing a solo project while Kevin marries and Joe works on acting, but for 5 years? That’s just too long. Don’t they know that not ALL of the fans will wait around? I mean, fans will move on. And not to mention they might leave the fans with chips on their shoulders making it even harder for them to gain old fans later on down the road. Wow, I just never saw this coming.

You can’t plan a hiatus like that…it will be what it will be.

That said, while Nick may be a great mastermind, writer and bandleader, I’d buy a Joe Jonas solo album before I’d buy a Nick Jonas solo album.

I think this is no a thing to worry about. Like Kevin Sr. said “As always, lots of music to come.” So I think will be still hearing music from them.

Let’s hope this rumors aren’t true, if not will be hearing their breakup from them..

Kevin Sr. never said anything about Nick going solo. Sure the boys mayb remain a band but Nick would probably have a ’side project’ as they like to call it.

They won’t break up the boys have said many times and I quote “We’ve always said that anything that we do would be a side project. We’re brothers you can’t really break up brothers” I’ve got no idea about switching labels but theirs no need to worry I’m sure it’s all a lie!

A 5 year break? Those would be the worst years of my life. I don’t think they would because they have always said they would never break up or go solo. And even though Kevin is engaged, they are going to bring Danielle [Who he is marrying] on tour with them. I almost cried when I read this. And the whole switching labels then taking a break? Yeah right!! I mean, they do need a little break, but they would never take 5 years! Maybe a few months to a year, but 5? They love their fans and couldn’t do that. ♥

ok i think he should he’s the one who started the band in the first place and his brothers are holding him back how come he hardly sings in any songs untill he started mentioning about the whole solo thing his bothers don’t want him to leave and nicks getting fed up hardly singing untill the past couple months so i think he’s making the right decision

He NEEDS to go solo. He’s our century’s Buddy Holly… Nick Jonas is amazing and his brothers just weigh him down. They’re too old and creepy.

Uhm. I know that Nick is going solo. I also know that they will STILL be a band, but the solo thing is Nick’s side project. Them taking a break for 5 years is not true. That I can tell you for a fact.

No matter what way they would do, they would all be successful in their own way. Nick would be great solo but they need to stay as The Jonas Brothers. I love them so much!
Even though Kevin is getting married, that doesnt take 5 years to do, I don’t think they will take a 5 year break, alot of people go solo when they are still in a band such as… Cheryl Cole.
